Wenzhen spent the first 20 years of his life in Shanghai, and was determined to do organic chemistry when he was an undergraduate. His undergraduate research project involved synthetic efforts towards the alkaloid acutumine. He joined Prof. John Porco’s lab in Fall 2023, and now works on the synthesis of metoterpenoid natural products. In his spare time, Wenzhen likes to play video games and read history books.
