Stan was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY and moved to Boston in 2008 to study Biochemistry at Northeastern University. After finishing college, he worked at Infinity Pharmaceuticals and then at Biogen, where he used mass spectrometry to study drug metabolism and pharmacokinetics. Interested in learning more about drug mechanisms, Stan joined BU's PhD program in Biomolecular Pharmacology in the Fall of 2020. Stan's research is focused on the development and application of proteomics-based tools for target identification. In his spare time, Stan enjoys experimenting in the kitchen, learning about psychopharmacology, and attending music festivals.
