Kaijie Ji (He/His)

Kaijie Ji was born and raised in Beijing, China, where he graduated from China Agricultural University with a B.S. in Chemistry. In 2017, he came across the Pacific Ocean and pursued M.S. in Chemistry at Stevens Institute of Technology, NJ. During his maters, he conducted medicinal chemistry research in project-chemical syntheses of virginiamycin M2 analogs at UCSF, under the supervision of prof. Ian. Seiple, and project-total synthesis of gulmirecin at NYU, under the guidance of prof. Dirk Trauner. After receiving his M.S. in Chemistry in 2019, he moved from NYC to Boston in summer and joined Porco group. His research area mainly focuses on bio-inspired dimerization of natural product synthesis. Outside the lab, Kaijie enjoys the life with his lovely girlfriend, Di, playing pool, cooking and jogging.
