Diversity & Inclusion

Our mission/goal is to achieve excellence and innovation in organic chemistry

In the Porco Group, we believe that a cornerstone of innovation and scientific excellence is a collaborative and inclusive research community that supports the fair treatment and equal opportunity for all persons.

In line with this belief, we seek to recruit talent from a diverse group of candidates and are committed to fostering a research environment that emphasizes respect for all people regardless of race, nationality, ethnicity, gender & gender identity, sexual orientation, socioeconomic status, age, physical ability, marital and family status, religious affiliation, and more.

While we are only one part of a much larger community, we recognize the actions taken at the level of individual labs are essential in the fight against systemic racism, sexism, and homophobia extant in the current culture.  Our goal as a group is to recognize our own biases and work together towards anti-racism. Most importantly, we want to ensure that our lab is an enjoyable work environment where everyone feels welcome and able to fully participate in our research effort.

Our goal as a group is to recognize our own biases and work together towards anti-racism.
