Angel Borge was born and raised in Miami, Florida. He went to Miami-Dade Community College for 2 years and then transferred to the University of Miami for another 2 years to complete his B.S. in Chemistry. The summer after his junior year, he had the privilege of doing an REU at Boston University doing medicinal organic chemistry in the lab of Dr. Lauren Brown. This experience left him with a desire for more, and as a result, led him to enrolling at Boston University for graduate school. His goal is to learn the art and craft of organic synthesis at a deep level to continue tackling different chemical problems throughout his career.  Under Dr. John Porco's mentorship, he is being given an opportunity to fulfill that desire. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with family and friends, playing guitar and soccer, and going to the gym.
