Margaret Ann Mickelberg is a junior at Boston University majoring in chemistry. She attended high school in Sioux Falls, South Dakota where she discovered her passion for chemistry in AP Chemistry (taught by James Jarovski), and became Vice President of Science National Honors Society. Margaret Ann continued to Boston University in pursuit of her dreams of learning as much as she can about chemistry, and what life in a metropolitan area can teach her. Keeping true to her midwestern nature, she is driven to help people in everyday life through the progression of science. She started in Porco Lab when she was awarded a Clare Boothe Luce Scholarship for summer 2024 UROP, and worked under the mentorship of Ryan Baker. Margaret Ann enjoys spending time with her friends and family, practicing yoga, being outside, figure skating, fashion and cosmetics, and wakesurfing.
