Kyle was born and raised in the great state of Pennsylvania. He earned his Bachelors degree in chemistry at Lafayette College in 2010. While at Lafayette, he investigated the electrochemical properties of organometallic compounds under the supervision of Professor Chip Nataro. Kyle then earned his doctoral degree in 2016 under the guidance of Professor Alexander Radosevich at the Pennsylvania State University, where his research focused on developing novel organophosphorus-based redox processes for synthetic applications. Kyle joined the Porco group in 2016 where he is currently investigating the total synthesis of xanthone natural products. In his free time, Kyle likes to golf, hike, and go rock climbing.
